Connaught at Christmas - Sidmouth

9-18th December 2022 (annual event held in December)

[AD-Press invite]

We’re all now feeling very Christmassy after an evening spent exploring ‘Connaught at Christmas’ in Sidmouth and soaking up the festive atmosphere.

The clifftop Connaught Gardens have been transformed with spectacularly colourful illuminations, Christmas trees, glowing spheres and even snow – the perfect place for an evening wander with the family. Follow the reindeer hooves around the trail – you might find they lead to a certain famous Christmas celebrity!

This is a really magical experience for families and is ideal for those wanting to visit some Christmas lights (and Father Christmas!) without the heaving crowds and premium price tag. Very family-friendly with parking directly opposite, toilet facilities, surfaced paths (buggy-friendly) and a Food and Craft Village for refreshments and a bit of browsing after your wander. Perhaps a mulled cider to warm up for the adults (certainly had a kick!) or some Jingle Juice for the kids? Dinner options include wood-fired pizza, burgers, churros and Dim Sum.

We really enjoyed our visit and hope to make this a regular Christmas fixture in the future.

There’s still time to visit this December! Book tickets for entry to the illuminations here. Entrance to the Christmas Food and Craft Village is free, no booking required.
