Who doesn’t like a simple Farm Shop and Café combo? And this one has added animals!
With the vague purpose of buying ourselves some cheese and a bottle of wine for a Saturday night in (I know, we are seriously rock’n’roll) - we found ourselves heading to Fordmore Farm Shop just off Honiton Road near Cullompton, East Devon.
It’s a nice place for a coffee/cake/smoothie, brunch or lunch in the brand-new café, which has plenty of indoor seating and a handful of tables outside. They also sell Granny Gothard's ice cream - I have heard this comes highly recommended!
Afterwards, you can wander over to say hello to the miniature pigs, chickens, goats, cows-with-giant-horns, sheep and ducks in the surrounding grounds – an added bonus for little ones!
And, for the grown-ups, the farm shop stocks some seriously nice goodies (including posh cheese and wine: mission complete.)
Update for 2022: Fordmore now has a lovely covered outdoor seating area, and a fab little farm-themed outdoor play area suitable for children approximately 2-8years of age.
